RE
As a Church of England school, it is no surprise that we consider the teaching of religious education at Holywell to be a key priority. This is reflected in our most recent SIAMS report which is linked below. As a school with a strong Christian ethos, the teaching of Christianity comprises 50% of RE teaching, with the other 50% comprising units covering a wide variety of major world religions including Islam, Judaism and Hinduism. To ensure the teaching of RE is comprehensive and rigorous, we use the Emmanuel Project scheme of work developed by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich as our key resource to teach from which we adopted this academic year in September 2021. This scheme of work has the benefit of being consistent with the requirements of the Cambridgeshire SACRE.
